Funeral or Memorial Service

The Funeral Service is unique to your loved one and can take place in a venue of your choice. Whether Church; Crematorium; Natural Burial Ground or Other Venue, the Peninsula Funeral Celebrant will guide you through the process.

Pet Memorial Service

We treasure our pets and our relationship with them is a unique and wonderful thing. When a pet dies, the grief for the pet can be quite intense. Children and adults alike benefit emotionally from taking care of the pet's body and burying it with love and care.

Advance Funeral Planning

I spend time with you helping you plan how you would like your end of life to be celebrated and this will in turn take the pressure off those who are grieving so they can focus on the good memories you have shared.

Hazel and her team of experienced fellow funeral directors assist families and communities to create beautiful ceremonies, funerals, memorials, cremations and wakes.
​
The process is underpinned by 100% price transparency. We do not mark up the cost on any items i.e. the wholesale price we pay for the casket, venue, cremation service, flowers, order of service & staffing etc. is charged at cost price.

We charge a set funeral arranger fee and a service fee calculated on the total cost.

Having worked as a Celebrant in the Southeast Melbourne region, the next logical step was to provide the whole process so that the ceremony could be seamless.

​The Picaluna partnership supports me in the logistics required to arrange and conduct a funeral; including transfers, registering the death with Births, Deaths & Marriages, access to a vast range of suppliers, mortuary care, and invoicing. This allows me to spend more time with you, crafting and delivering a personalised ceremony, authentic to you.

Hazel Rapson - ​Experience & Empathy

Hazel Rapson moved to Patterson Lakes in Melbourne from the UK in February 2022.

Her background has been very people focused, having been a school teacher and prior to moving to Australia, running a treatment centre for people with Mental Health Issues.

​She has had experience of arranging very different styles of funerals for family members, from Church and Crematorium to Meadow and Woodland Natural Burial. Each funeral required finding the essence of the loved one and ensuring that that was conveyed whilst all the time being respectful and caring to those left behind. 
After Hazel and her husband moved to Australia, she decided that she would love to offer a very personalised service to others and completed her Funeral Celebrant Training with Rose Training Australia.
